Hotmail inbox not opening means unable to receiving and storing incoming emails and text messages. That might be due to various problems. Some of the possible problems are listed with their solutions below:
1. If you can’t open any type of incoming mails:
a. Click Start, then type: %temp%
b. Press Enter
c. Delete all the contents of that directory
d. Re-open your browser and then try opening your mail again.
2. If the problem persist and you are using Internet Explorer:
a. Click Start, type: Internet Options
b. Press Enter
c. Select ‘Advanced’ tab
d. Under Reset Internet Explorer Settings, click ‘Reset’
This should restore Internet Explorer to its default settings.
3. Internet Explorer not showing Hotmail Inbox (mail lists) “properly” others such as Safari works fine :
Open IE > Tools (alternatively press Alt + X in IE 9) > Internet Options > General tab > Delete button > Select Cookies and Temporary Internet Files > Click Delete button.)
Go to Internet Options of IE9, in the Advanced Tab and uncheck the “Use of TSL 1.2”, press OK, restart IE9 and you should be able to use Hotmail with no problem.
Click on the Gear symbol on the top right,
Click on Internet options, go to the Advanced section,
Click on Restore Advanced settings,
After that scroll down and check the box, Do not save encrypted files to disk,
Apply and you are done.
4. Unable to open PDF files from Hotmail inbox:
Try downloading the latest PDF reader from www.adobe.com
5. Hotmail Inbox Not Working:
Go to Tools, Internet Options, and press the ‘Delete Files’ button to clear out the Temporary Internet files, cookies and then refresh. This should work.
